DAY 2

Sawadee Kha :D

Sabai Di ? J

In this oportunity i would like to continue my stories about my experiences in Thailand

July, 18th 2016 actually Monday, was my second day i stayed  in Thailand. This was also my first time to knew about Thepsatri Rajabhat University (TRU)  directly. In this time we as Indonesian students for TRU  would like to introduce our selves and we would also get so many information about Thailand especially about Lopburi and TRU it self, so this day was our orientation day in TRU for SEA-Teacher Project of SEAMEO.

In the morning we had prepared our selves in Teptani hotel, we used formal uniform as well as posible and of course we used our university’s coat, so that there were six colours of coat at the day. I used Pasundan University’s coat, it’s colour was  green, Andini from UNY was blue, Balqis from UPI was gray, Faurina from UNLAM was yellow, Fakhri from UII was blue it’s like Andini’s coat, and Aziz from UNS was green but this green was different green with the colour that I used.

We tried to still relax although maybe we really so nervouse at that time, especially for Me,  I couldn’t explain how my feeling well and clearly it was, but it’s too amazing and awesome day. This day we would meet with any important people of TRU that joined to the program. They were our coordinator, mentors, teacher of the school that would be our practicum school and etc.

The meeting room of the day was near from the hotel, we just had to walked any minutes, but before going to the room we went to Seven Elephant as one of a famous market Thailand for buying some foods, and there were two Seven Elephants near around the campus. This worning was our first time to breakfast in this country, we looked around the market, yeaay it  made us happy because many Halal foods that we could find in this place. We, all the students of TRU team were Moslem, so we had to eate Halal food. So that when we could find Halal foods, it would be our happiness so much.

After finding our foods we were picked up by Mr. Aj. Lookin, he was one of the teacher from Satit School, he also would be one our mentor. He was looked  so kind and friendly. We went to the meeting room of the orientation after knowing each other. When we arrived to the room, we so felt amazing. There’s welcoming ceremony. First, there was welcoming speech from Asst. President of TRU, and the introduction of any mentors, coordinators and others.

The next one is, about the orientation of everything about Thai, especially the traditions, foods, regions of Thai and etc. It was told by Mr. Jack as  deputy of director from The Lenguage Center of TRU, also as our coordinator in TRU. We got many important  information from him. I still remembered, he told that there were four period when we stayed for one month in Thai, first was honey period, second was justification period, third  was adaptation period, and the last one was honey period again. So from what i had heard if we could  respect  and adapt well we could find honey period again after doing those step by step. At that time Mr. Aj. Lookin as one of a teacher in Satil School as i had told before, gave us information about type of Thai Lesson Plan, the schedule of us when we did the practicum period in that school and so on. We also got souvenirs from TRU, we thanked for it very much.

One by one the opening and welcoming ceremony were done, after that we went to Islamic restaurant. Aaaah we really felt awesome because all of the mentors, coordinator were very responsible and showed us their rescpect  more and more. They  knew about such kind of our obligation in our religion, for example they knew what food that we didn’t eat, they knew we had to pray for anytime in a day and etc. When we were eating, we were surprised  bacause they joked so cute, it made us laugh again and again. It was different with what i had imagined before, i though that they would be so serious, formal, and something like that. But i was wrong, really really wrong because everything was not like that. They were so kind, friendly, cute and good in  mastery of  joking :D
