We looked around and asked Poppy and Nanny about what the activities of people at that time  mean, and they gave us the elaboration as well. We also saw the perfomace of traditional dancing from Thailand at that time the name of the dancing was Ramhai, aaah we enjoyed it very much, also the dancers were very kind to us.

When we arrived at the place, whooooaa we felt the admiration, it was bigger than Prhra Prang Sam Yot. It made us more excited to explore Lopburi more and more. Actually we had to pay the ticket if wanted to enter the temple, but we did know about that at the time, so we entered directly, hehehe we Indonesian Students were so shy and suprised when we heard that Poppy and Nanny had bought the tickets for us, aaaaaah thank you for both you guys !!! Hopefully someday if you come to Indonesia we also will give our best services.

The last place that we vissited at that time was The King Narai Palace, but so sad at the day the palace was closed, bacause holiday. So we just walked around in outside or in front of palace, hemh it was okay because the view was very baeutiful and made us so excited to take photos.  After we felt anought enjoyed The King narai Palace's views we planed to go back to our hotel, but before doing that we bought some ice tea to waive our tired :D. then we went back by using minibus.

DAY 3

The day was great as usuall, especially today was Tuesday we all Indonesian students  would go to the Downtown as we had planed, but before going there, we walked around  the campus with Poppy, she always kept and took care us so well. She gave us the elaboration about every building of TRU. Sometime we  took a rest while, and talked about anything. Actually we were also waiting for Nanny, Poppy’s friend who picked us up at DMK.

About 11 a.m Nanny came, so we stoped talking and then went together to Big C, The Bigest Mall in Lopburi. We used mini bus as our transportation to went there, this bus was very unique and different with Indonesian bus. For example we just pushed the button without said “Kiri....!” if we wanted stoping the bus, as Indonesian people did, and the design of the bus really different so much.

(The picture of using minibus)

When we arrived at Big C mall, we walked around and looking for simcard first before doing another activities. At that time all of us bought a simcard namely True Move, we also bought internet package for our phone. We did it one by one until end. After that we went to prayed Dhuhur, it’s so great experiences, why? Because as i told, we were moslem so we had to took a prayed for 5 times for a day, and before we prayed we had to wudhu first, my friends ( i got mentruation period, so i didn’t pray) took a wudhu  in crane of toilet Big C, you know? Most of people there were looked so suprized, maybe it was strange for them, but they still showed us their respectable one, and something that really amazing was : we prayed at the stair of Big C bacause there was no empty room or mosque in around there. We thanked to Thai people especially Nanny and Poppy who allowed us to did that, they were also so patient to waited us.
After praying we eate at Mc. D of Big C, it was about 3 a.m. We ordered some foods and drinks, we talked about everything while waiting for the foods. Then after lunch, we were looking for any thing that we needed. We, Indonesian students went to foods market to saw around, but Poppy and Nanny met with their friend. We were introduced by Poppy and Nanny to their friend, they were Aom as Poppy’s friend and i forgot actually the name of Nanny’s friend.  Waaaaah they were  friendly and very kind so much.
After knowing each other we planed vissiting the famous place in Lopburi but the weather too hot, so we canceled aour planing and then we went back to the Theptani Hotel and took a rest J

Sawadee Kha :D

Sabai Di ? J

In this oportunity i would like to continue my stories about my experiences in Thailand

July, 18th 2016 actually Monday, was my second day i stayed  in Thailand. This was also my first time to knew about Thepsatri Rajabhat University (TRU)  directly. In this time we as Indonesian students for TRU  would like to introduce our selves and we would also get so many information about Thailand especially about Lopburi and TRU it self, so this day was our orientation day in TRU for SEA-Teacher Project of SEAMEO.

In the morning we had prepared our selves in Teptani hotel, we used formal uniform as well as posible and of course we used our university’s coat, so that there were six colours of coat at the day. I used Pasundan University’s coat, it’s colour was  green, Andini from UNY was blue, Balqis from UPI was gray, Faurina from UNLAM was yellow, Fakhri from UII was blue it’s like Andini’s coat, and Aziz from UNS was green but this green was different green with the colour that I used.

(From left to right : Balgis, Faurina, Intan (Me), Andini, Fakhri, and Aziz)

We tried to still relax although maybe we really so nervouse at that time, especially for Me,  I couldn’t explain how my feeling well and clearly it was, but it’s too amazing and awesome day. This day we would meet with any important people of TRU that joined to the program. They were our coordinator, mentors, teacher of the school that would be our practicum school and etc.

The meeting room of the day was near from the hotel, we just had to walked any minutes, but before going to the room we went to Seven Elephant as one of a famous market Thailand for buying some foods, and there were two Seven Elephants near around the campus. This worning was our first time to breakfast in this country, we looked around the market, yeaay it  made us happy because many Halal foods that we could find in this place. We, all the students of TRU team were Moslem, so we had to eate Halal food. So that when we could find Halal foods, it would be our happiness so much.

After finding our foods we were picked up by Mr. Aj. Lookin, he was one of the teacher from Satit School, he also would be one our mentor. He was looked  so kind and friendly. We went to the meeting room of the orientation after knowing each other. When we arrived to the room, we so felt amazing. There’s welcoming ceremony. First, there was welcoming speech from Asst. President of TRU, and the introduction of any mentors, coordinators and others.

The welcoming speech from Asst. President of TRU, Prof. Chintana Vechmee

We introduced our own selves,  so excited !!!, we informed  our major, university, province, and anything that we wanted to talk. One by one of us did that so happily.

The Introduction of Indonesian Students

The next one is, about the orientation of everything about Thai, especially the traditions, foods, regions of Thai and etc. It was told by Mr. Jack as  deputy of director from The Lenguage Center of TRU, also as our coordinator in TRU. We got many important  information from him. I still remembered, he told that there were four period when we stayed for one month in Thai, first was honey period, second was justification period, third  was adaptation period, and the last one was honey period again. So from what i had heard if we could  respect  and adapt well we could find honey period again after doing those step by step. At that time Mr. Aj. Lookin as one of a teacher in Satil School as i had told before, gave us information about type of Thai Lesson Plan, the schedule of us when we did the practicum period in that school and so on. We also got souvenirs from TRU, we thanked for it very much.

One by one the opening and welcoming ceremony were done, after that we went to Islamic restaurant. Aaaah we really felt awesome because all of the mentors, coordinator were very responsible and showed us their rescpect  more and more. They  knew about such kind of our obligation in our religion, for example they knew what food that we didn’t eat, they knew we had to pray for anytime in a day and etc. When we were eating, we were surprised  bacause they joked so cute, it made us laugh again and again. It was different with what i had imagined before, i though that they would be so serious, formal, and something like that. But i was wrong, really really wrong because everything was not like that. They were so kind, friendly, cute and good in  mastery of  joking :D

(Eating in the Islamic Restaurant around TRU)

Then we went back to the hotel to did some another activities. Aaaaaah the day was very great !!! :D

The program starts from July 17th to August 15th, 2016 ( one month), and the important thing that i have to tell you is, all Indonesian student will get different host university in Thailand, and Thepsatri Rajabhat University (TRU) is my host university.

So guys, i'd like to tell you about my activities of this program. Let us start !

DAY 1
At this day, actually on July 17 th, this was my departure time from Indonesia to Thailand. Me and my friends from my university departed from Soekarnoi-Hatta International Airport Jakarta Indonesia at 10.10 a.m. We spent the time about 3 hours and 35 minutes, so we arrived in Don Moeang (DMK)  Airport  Bangkok at 1.35 p.m.

After arriving in DMK, i really could not beleive that was real, it was still like a dream. OMG i was going overseas !. Me and some of students from another university of  Indonesia were in same airplane actually, so we talked each other in DMK, but when we met with the people who picked us up from each university in there, we separated, and i joined with Fakhri, the student from UII Yogyakarta that arrived in Thai earlier than me, he was with Nanny and Poppy the student of TRU, they were so excited and friendly  when saw me. After that we introduced our own selves while waiting for the others, they were Andini from UNY Yogyakarta, Balqis from UPI Bandung, Faurina from UNLAM  South Kalimantan and the last  Aziz from UNS Solo.

About 6 p.m,  all the student from Indonesia for TRU arrived, then we went to Lopburi, Lopburi is a province, and TRU was there, it was about 2-3 hours from DMK. In the car we joked and laughed, i was really really happy there, because even we met just for the first time, but we were like family that knew each other very much, and we also thanked to Nanny and poppy because they took care us so well.

When we arrived in Theptani hotel of TRU we didn't go to bedroom directly, but  we went to the place that we could find any foods namely street food, we used the car of Poppy's father. That  was my first time to felt the hot atmosphere at night of Lopburi but it was not a problem because we used the  opened car, so we could felt the fresh air directly in my  body. My happiness could not be  described that time, aaaaahhhh it was so nice and great day guys :D

We walked around the street, Poppy and Nanny gave Us the elaboration about the foods one by one at that place detaily, the we chosed as we wanted, some of Us bought foods and others bought some drinks. More and more we were talked about many thing and joked together  while we're eating and drinking. So i suggest my self that : I was lucky one because i could follow this program and met them, Alhamdulillah.  Then we went bact to the Theptani hotel and  slept so well.  Aaaaah i couldn't be patient to waited the orientation day  at that time, so i prayed before sleeping i hoped that we had a nice day :)
