Day 23 : The Teaching Examination

8th August 2017

        My nervousness couldn’t be hidden, my body was felt so cold, why? Because this day was my Teaching Examination. I would be supervised by some supervisiors, they were Aj. Boonta (Biology Teacher), Aj. Hin (Coordinator of school on this program), Aj. Mey (Biology Teacher), and the coordinator from my university, but he didn’t come because there was a bustle in Indonesia.

        I would teach in three classes Mathayom 1/1, 1/2, and 1/3. The topic was talking about Cell. My first class was  M 1/1, before entering to classroom, i tried to be calm and prayed as i could do. I hoped that what i had planed in Lesson Plan would be applied, and everyclass was taught well, so the students understood and got an unforgetable experiences in learning.

        During at this school, i had paid attention to everyclass, and observed. How they were, how  their characteristics looked like, what they did etc. so i had prepared different ways for M1/1-M1/3. Alhamdulillah, so great time, i had fimished it as what i hoped. The students were so cooprative, they asked when they didn’t understand, answered when i was asking them, active to positive activities in the classroom, and did all the intrusctions were given by me. Aaaaah i thanked to all of you my lovely students, i would never forget the memories during i taught you here. Hoped you too ! J.

Day 21 : Holiday and  The Sweet Home

6th August 2017

        We spent our time this holiday just in our home.  All of us would face the teaching examination this week bacause actually this was our last week to stay in Thailand. In this examination we had to prepare well. It would determine how good we were as a teacher during this program. So we did our hardwork to face it. This Saturday we cleaned our home, shared about the Lesson Plan that would be used in the examination. We gave advices each other and tried to give solutions if there were problems. Although it was hard for us, but we were also happy bacause all of us keep caring much more.

 

Day 22 : The Lopburi Zoo

7th August 2017

        Firstly, we planed just stay in our home as we did before, but Aj.Yaya asked us to go somewhere, She thought that it was batter than we just did our Lesson Plan, She said that it would make us suffer and  bothered our brain. She brought us to Lopburi Zoo for relaxing.

        The Boys went by using Aj.Hin’s car and the girls with Aj. Yaya. We were leaved in The Lopburi Zoo, because they had an other agenda. We spent some hours in there, after looking satisfactorily we went to Lopburi Monument as an icon of that city.

        Then we were going to Big C Mall for having a lunch. We tried to use public tranportation by ourselves. After arriving there, we looked around Big C Mall, and some of us bought  the gifts for students, after that we enjoyed KFC with some softdriks for our lunch.

Day 16 : The Enjoyeable Drama

1st August 2016

     We came back to our daily activities after relaxing our brain in Dream World Bangkok.  In Monday morning the students and all staffs of the Thepsatri School doing ceremony as usual. There was something different in the day  because the students didn’t enter to their  class directly, they showed us their capabilities in role playing in drama, i  along my friends were  amazed watching them. I was laugh when i was watchiing them, they were so cute.

     Aj. Oom told us what the story of drama was talking about. It was one of the traditional story in Thailand, so all the player of it used traditional costumes.

Day 17 : The Traditional Cuisines

2nd August 2016

     We spent our time in the Satit Thepsatri until around 3 p.m, after that Aj. Fai picked the girls up, and the boy still in the Satit waiting for Aj.Hin. Then the gilrs went to The Open Market before coming back to our lovely home.This day we had a schedule for cooking traditional cuisines of Indonesia, so we bought some materials for that. We promised to Aj. Yaya, Aj. Hin, and Aj. Fai that we would like to give our best for making these foods for them, and they also said that to us, we would be made the best traditional foods of Thai. We planed to make Gado-gado and some others.

     In the evening, after finishing our cooking in Aj. Fai’s home, we all Indonesian Students came to Aj. Yaya’s home with our cooking. Aj.Yaya, Aj.Hin, and Aj. Fai already done preparing their cooking for us. We eate their foods, and they too, they tried our foods one by one. We enjoyed the day, we were like true family. I often missed my parent in Indonesia, but they healed me by their affection.

Day 18 : Making Closer Relation

3th August 2016

     We had an appointment with the english departement students of TRU in this Wednesday. So about 11 a.m we visited their faculty happily. With their anthusiastic they welcomed us well. We shared about some topics for example we told about our experiences, education system differences between both Indonesia and Thailand. In the early we introduced our own selves one by one, then we could ask each other. Time to time we were chummy more and more.

     At that time in the TRU there was an orientation program for freshmans, so after discussing satisfactorily we were asked to join them to look around campus to see freshman activities during orientation. We saw them so excited doing their obligations as freshman. They sang the songs, danced, and laugh happily.

 

 

Day 19 : Without You, We're Empty !

4th August 2016

     After doing our compulsories at school, we were picked by Aj. Fai, but without Aziz because he had gone home erlier then us, then he gethered Aj.Hin to hospital. Aj. Fai asked us to help her for  teaching in her college as what we did in the past before.  Yeayyyy apparently i got Tai again, the student that i had taught.

     Aj. Fai made a choice for us, she asked us to go to home or going to Big C mall, and we prefer to choose Big C. In there we eate KFC and bought some softdrinks, but we felt so empty without Aziz, because we were habitual together.

Day 20 : Happy Meal Day

5th August 2016

     This Friday i didn’t have a schedule, so i was free, but my friends they had a class. This day Mr. Rich taught us for learning to cook pizza. He brought the stuffs from his own home. We cooked together after everyboding finising the classes. Mr. Rich told this and that abput how to make pizaa well and we heard and paid attention seriously. And finally we could make delicious some pizzas, ohyeaaaay lalala.

     Aj. Yaya picked us up after we finished our cooking. She brought us to Open Market and bought some foods and drink. We were so happy because we found a very delicious and halal drink, Aj. Yaya bought it for us, and we could choose the teste, and i choose banana cream, hmmmm so yummy. Our stomach was full!.hahaha

Day 11 : Protoring

27th July 2016

 

          This day was my second proctoring day, i got some classes for a day. As usual, there were 2 proctor in a class, in this time i was accompanied by Aj. Boonta, my lovely mentor. There was a problem this day, the elevator of Satit Thepsatri was broken, whereas i had to be protor in Build 7 that far enough from ASEAN room, so i ran past, but i still came late, and Aj. Boonta came earlier than me, OMG i was so shy, i asked for her forgiveness, she was smile and made me more and more loved her.

Day 12 : Tai, Happy To Teach You !

28th July 2016

          We finished our compulsories at school, proctoring, discusing, editing the Lesson Plan etc, the differnces of the day was teaching english in Aj. Fai college, i taught a student, his name was Tai, he was in Mathayom 2. I introduce my self and either him, he spoke shyly. I taught him about the articles in english, i enjoyed it very much.

About 5 p.m we finished the lesson. After that we visited Organic Cafe, Aj. Fai asked us to came there. She told that Salad in that cafe was one of the best Salad in Lopburi. After eating Salad, i did agree with Aj.fai, it so delicious Salad that i ever felt.

Day 14 : JJ Market, BTS, unfoegetable !

30th July 2016

          Yeaaaay, holiday was coming !. We was so excited this day, because we would like to go to Bangkok. We went there about 6 a.m, Aj. Hin brought us to the minibus traveler  station, after that we went to Bangkok by ourselves. Again and again we felt so happy much more.

          About 8 a.m, we arrived at Bangkok, and we planed going to Ja tu Jak (JJ) Market, we used BTS or Sky Train to reached there. Waaah it was our first time to used it, in the early we felt so confused, but we tried to ask people around there, so that finally we could use BTS as our transportation, and OMG i was so shocked because in BTS most of people were foreign like us.

          Spending just any minutes we finally arrived at JJ Market. Yeayyyy so happy, we planed buying some souvenirs for Indonesian, and again i was amazed, there were many thing that we could buy.

Day 15 : Dream World

31st July 2016

          This day was also our holiday, and yeay we would like to Bangkok again, not for shoping but  we got an opportunity to go vacation to Dream World, it was time for the students to relax after facing the test. Around 6 a.m all the students and teachers included us were ready to leave. In bus, we sang together  and sometime we joked, aahhh it was unforgotable experiences.

          We arrived at Dream World about 9 a.m. The coordinator of this program gave any instruction for us during activities there. After that we were given time until 3 p.m to do our activities. I along my friends went to any destinations like Snowtown, Blackhole, Grandcanyon etc.

Day 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. (Stories of SEA-Teacher Project)

Day 6

22nd July 2016

          The day i had not  taught yet at the school, me along my friends were introduced to our mentors who would help us to achive our program here, actually when we’d teach and face the students in the class. They guided us in making lesson plan and all about our  preparation for teaching. I got Biology teacher as my mentor, her name was Mrs. Boonta, and Ms. Oom English teacher who would help me, in terms of communiaction between me and Mrs. Boonta. They were so kind and made me comportable as well.

          After doing all agendas in Satit Thepsatri School we went back to hotel.  Aj. Hin and Aj. Fai, told us that we would move from hotel to their home,  boys stayed in Aj. Hin’s home and girls stayed  in Aj.Fai’s home,  as long as we were  in Thai. Aj.Fai's home was right of Aj. Yaya's home.

Day 7 and 8

23th-24th July 2016

          Saturday and Sunday were our holiday. We spent most of our time in Aj. Fai’s, some of aou activities were cooking and watching movies together. Boys who stayed in Aj. Hin’s home came to our place, because the location of both Aj.Hin and Aj. Fai was very near, it was about 5 minutes by walking. Aj. Hin brought us foods and drinks, he was like our friend, our brother also our father. He kept us very well and either Aj. Fai, she asked us, got so worries if we had not eaten yet. Ahhhh khob khun kha, we could never describe how lucky we were.

Day 9

25th July 2016

          This day was day that midtest was begun, so all of us got a schedule for proctoring in the class, each of us got different time, so sometime we were proctoring in the same day. In this day was my first day to proctor the test. In term of proctoring, every class was protored by 2 teachers. I got a job to proctor in Mathayom 3/2 with Aj. Oom. I was so suprised because every student were dicipline, they did their test well and silent without cheat activies. So proud of you kind students !!! J

Day 10

26th July 2016

          In this time i was not proctoring, but i still came to school to do another activies that i had to do. When we took a rest we talked with Aj. Oom about everything, sometime we shared about artist, foods, or culture and etc. We spent our time with warm of our laugh.

          In the evening we went to Open Market in Lopburi, Aj. Hin brought his friend  Ms. Blue. We bought some foods, vegetables, eggs, fruits and etc, at that time we tried to speak in Thai in term to bargain. For example “ Rha kathaw Rhay?  (How Much? “ and “ Leut noy (bargain to decrease the price)” haha it was so cute, and we enjoyed it much more. After walking around the market we went to Lotus,  as big store around there and we bought some friedchiken  in KFC for dinner. About 9 p.m we went bact to our home, but actually, rain came unexpectedly, but it was ok, we still happy at time. :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 5

21st July 2016

This time i will continue about the story of my experiences in Thailand when i joined in SEA techer Exchange program.

          This day was my first time facing the students of Satit Thepsatri School,  for one month i would be there to teach and doing some school activities as our programs. We were so nervouse at that time, because we had to introduce our selves by using Thai language.

          After introducing, we walked around Satit  School and campus areas to know the names of each room of each build. We were talked about everything when we visited  them one by one. One of the best moment was writing a wish for The King in The Library of TRU.

          In Satit Thepsatri we had been prepared a room for doing everything by school. It was ASEAN room. We’d find much information about Southeast Asia countries, include Indonesia.
